Meet up at the QUIC at 6:00 pm to walk with us to the main square downtown Kingston for the local event "Salsa in the Square".  Stay as long as you want; give a dance lesson a try, listen to live music and watch others dance. This is great opportunity to see the evening downtown.

We will meet at the QUIC and walk downtown together, learning about the many popular student spots in the city (including cafes, restaurants, shops, downtown landmarks, health services). Student leaders will answer your questions and point out places of interest.

Join this session which covers three components of life in Canada: 

1. What does Campus Security do to help keep you safe while on Campus? What can you do to stay safe on Campus and in Kingston? Come and learn more about Campus Security and get a few tips for living safely in Kingston.

2. Learn about primary vs. supplemental health insurance, health services available on campus and where to go in case of emergency or urgent care with the University Health Insurance Plan.

3. How might a Queen’s classroom be different from where you have studied before? How do you work in groups? Where can you go for help? The Intercultural Academic Support Coordinator will share some tips for adjusting to the expectations in a Canadian university classroom.
