Building Home: Cancelled for today

Date

Wednesday October 18, 2023
11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Building Home: International Student Peer Community is a supportive and inclusive space designed to provide a sense of belonging and connection for international students as they navigate their educational journey away from their home countries. Through regular monthly meetings, we aim to help group members not only navigate the practical aspects of living in Kingston and studying at Queen's but also to thrive emotionally and socially. With "Building Home," international students can create a sense of belonging that resonates deeply, allowing them to grow academically, personally, and interculturally, while finding a home among friends. There will be 4 meetings during the Fall Term. As this is a pilot project, we ask that only students who can commit to attending all meetings apply.  September 20th – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm October 18th – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm: Cancelled November 22nd – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm December 13th – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (attendance not mandatory due to exams) We will discuss topics relating to settling in Kingston, getting ready for winter, preparing for the Winter 2024 term and much more. This group is focused on learning from each other, sharing knowledge and will be facilitated by an International Student Advisor.
