Intercultural Awareness Certificate

Do you have an interest in meeting other students and learning more about how culture can shape how we see the world? Then sign up to attend QUIC’s Intercultural Awareness Certificate program. QUIC will offer three series this fall semester. Each series has five sessions and if you attend all five sessions in one series then you will receive a free certificate!

Series Five will have the following schedule:

Session 1; Tuesday February 24th,  9:30 to 11:30am

Session 2; Tuesday March 3rd, 9:30 to 11:30am

Session 3; Tuesday March 10th, 9:30 to 11:30am

Session 4; Tuesday March 17th, 9:30 to 11:30am

Session 5; Tuesday March 24th, 9:30 to 11:30am

We specialize in supporting international students, new Canadians, permanent residents, and their families. We can assist with the following, and more: 

  • Learning to navigate the local and academic cultures of Kingston and Queen’s
  • Feelings of homesickness, loneliness, and isolation
  • Understanding and accessing health services

ISAs are Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIA) that can provide you with information on immigration regulations as they relate to your studies in Canada, including: 

  • Study permits 
  • Eligibility to work on or off campus 
  • Visitor visas
  • Spousal work permits 
  • Pathways to permanent residency
